Roo Pescod

About

Roo is a musician and general scrappy creative from Cornwall, UK.

As well as playing in punk bands for most of his life (BangersThe Hippaes, Hit The Beach, Fresh Specimen, Life Forms), he's done his fair share of performing under his own name on the piano and guitar, touring with two consecutive Survival Tours in 2013 and 2014, and writing and touring his one-man musical Loam Junction in 2017.

He's written several fiction zines (Hobodome, Battering Ram, Working Out) and contributed work to a few punk zines over the years, including a couple of articles for A Short Fanzine About Rocking, and bits and pieces for Ugly Love fanzine among others. He also used to take awful photos for Lucida Console.

Under the name Actual Satan Publishing  he self published an interactive adventure book The Squat Machine (co-authored with Hamish Adams) which pre-sold out of it's first pressing, and a 10 minute musical/epic love poem/fanzine Cindy and the Devil which is available to buy in the shop or stream on Spotify.

He runs a tiny garage recording studio/practise room called The Cosmic Cupboard and has recorded records for PaloresIsolation, Super Secret Club and Fresh Specimen, but mostly just records himself.

All of the 'Roo Pescod' music is available for free/pay-what-you-want on Bandcamp and on Spotify for your easy listening pleasure.

For older bands and physical releases, have a look at the Specialist Subject website. If they didn't release it, they'll know where to get it.

On top of all that, he co-runs packaging re-use website Packshare and has a real job at Falmouth University.

This store is a place to sell the 'other' stuff Roo creates, projects that don't have a natural home or a sensible digital format.

Thankyou for visiting.
