Tales From The Ogo Du
Part One: Everyone Works For The Devil
There is clearly no God. Of course the whole world is run by The Devil except Cornwall where The Obby Oss has been left in charge for centuries growing bloated and stagnating in patriarchal rule.
Once every 50 years or so Old Scratch himself visits the backwater of Cornwall to see what still hasn’t changed. He finds it a curious amusement and a parochial holiday away from his real work. But some things are changing in the depths of the Deep South Wild West at the tail end of The Devil’s favourite island.
Spiritualism and false osses have risen, moving down and claiming historical legitimacy amongst the second homes, rural metal bands and beach saunas. They vie for attention behind the back of Cornwall’s ruler, mocking local backwards traditions and attitudes in favour of their own progressive paganism.
This is an illustrated, bilingual fanzine with 84 pages. A story about Cornwall, translated into the standard form of Cornish. Part 1 of 3 in Tales From The Ogo Du.
The plan is to release all 3 in this format and then hopefully make a proper book. By buying these you’re helping to fund a very expensive labour of love.
